THIRD PARTY DRIVING TEST:
Take your driving test with First Class Driver, normally with very little wait! Reservations can be made here made by calling 817 731 0200 or emailing @ ftworthoffice@coast.ai. Road test is $100, cash or credit. The vehicle must have a valid front and rear license plate; a paper plate on the rear are acceptable.
Please provide a printed copy of current vehicle insurance, student’s name not required to be on the insurance. We do offer a rental vehicle for $40; insurance is included.

Test Requirements:

Teens 16-17 years of age or older must:

  • Provide two copies of a valid DE-964 for DRIVER LICENSE showing completion of requirements.
  • Teen must have held a valid restricted permit/learner license for a minimum of six months meeting the date on the back of the permit and be 16 years of age.
  • Provide two signed copies of the completed IMPACT certificate for ages 16-17 Impact Texas Teen Drivers
  • A valid “Verification of Enrollment” will be needed for the DPS appointment.
  • Adults 18-25 must:

  • Have a valid photo restricted permit.
  • Present two copies of the completed Adult Driver Ed Course Certificate from the class course.
  • Present two signed copies of the complete the IMPACT video for ages 18 and over. Everyone including 18 and over must take this class. Impact Texas Teen Drivers and will present two signed copies prior to the test.
  • MOCK TEST

    A “Mock Test” is available prior to the test and runs through the same experience/scenario as the test for $40.

    RETEST

    If student fails the test, a review of improvements will be reviewed and a retest available for $40 immediately following the failed test.

    Does my TEXAS Impact Certificate Expire?

    The IMPACT Certificate is good for 90 days. If it has expired, you must retake the course.

    If I am 25 or over, do I have to take a driver ed course?

    The six-hour adult Driver education course is not required for individuals age 25 and older but is recommended. You will have to go to the DPS office to take an online test. Otherwise, a six-hour course is recommended. You must have a permit to take the test with a Third-Party Tester.
